Signs of a Green Future
Federal Heath is committed to reducing energy consumption and promoting sustainable development.
Our Oceanside facility recently received recognition from a major California public utility for saving money on energy bills.
- Fluorescent lighting reduces our carbon footprint & lowers energy consumption
- Cardboard/paper waste is segregated & recycled to reduce impact on local landfills
- Styrofoam packing material is reused rather than thrown away whenever possible
- Energy efficient programmable thermostats reduce excessive use in all office locations
- Fluorescent lamps & broken neon units are segregated and disposed of as hazardous waste
- Using electronic ballasts and LED lighting systems passes energy savings on to our customers
- Leftover paint waste & fillers are recycled and are currently used in a cement making process
- Ovens used for thermoforming only used 2-3 hrs a day. Thermoforming uses an instant-on quartz heating element, which heats up quicker and reduces the time to heat up faces, saving on energy and also repair/replacement costs.
Our green pledge: Reduce our carbon footprint, improve the energy efficiency of our buildings and increase our use of renewable energy.
