Paris Las Vegas Hilton Balloon Spectacular
In the fantasy world of Las Vegas, the Paris balloon is a replica of the world’s first vessel of human flight. On November 21, 1783, two Frenchmen piloted the first manned hot air balloon for an historic 25-minute flight over Paris. Today, the 2,900 room Paris Las Vegas Hilton commemorates the event with a 180’ tall, 75’ diameter landmark replica, erected in front of the property, right on Las Vegas’ celebrated strip.
This multi-million dollar engineering feat was designed, fabricated and installed over a two-and-a-half year period. The elegant balloon structure is a trussed, aluminum space-frame with decorated vinyl material stretched over the frame. Two large illuminated sets of letters reading “Paris” are mounted on the balloon surface, along with over one mile of border and decorative neon tubing. Two static flex face panels are mounted beneath the balloon structure. |
